2012 Onalaska "Classic" Show Choir and Concert Choir Competition
The 2012 Registration is Now Closed for Senior High Show Choirs.
January 13th & 14th, 2012
We are now planning for the 25th Anniversary of the Onalaska Show Choir “Classic” and Concert Choir Competition to be held on Friday, January 13th and Saturday, January 14th, 2012. We have a long standing tradition of competition excellence in Onalaska. We are extremely excited about the 25th Anniversary of this competition, and we hope you can join us for the weekend!
2012 Onalaska Classic Registration Form
I would like to point out a few highlights for this year:
Live Interactive Clinic: We will be bringing in some of the nation’s leading show choir clinicians to work in a live setting with your performers following your Saturday show. Clinics can be focused to suit and our facilities will provide for an area that includes risers, instrumental inclusion, and video. Come spend 45 minutes with our amazing clinicians.
The Onalaska Classic prides itself on being one of the first competitions of the new year. We focus on promoting student growth and education. With that, we would like to encourage learning at the prep level as well. So…. Everyone bringing an Open Class show choir will receive a Class A show choir entry (HS) for FREE!
Make a weekend of it and bring your concert choir for the Friday competition at the beautiful First Lutheran Church of Onalaska.
Registration Fees:
High School Show Choirs: $250
Concert Choirs: $200
Middle School/Junior High Show Choirs: $100
High School Solo/Duet Competition: $20 Per entry (limit 4 per school)
Please note that all registrations will be all ONLINE this year and no hard copy registrations will be sent out. Please take a moment to check out the information page and register today! Space will be limited so sign up fast!
2012 Onalaska Classic Registration form
Priority Registration: As it pertains to the schedule, the online registration and submission of fee’s will impact the schedule in the following ways:
1. All groups will be scheduled in divisions. These include: Class A (Unisex, Prep, JV, Small/Emerging Ensemble) and Open Class.
2. The top 3 placing Open Class finalist ensembles from 2011 returning in 2012 will be scheduled in order of receipt of registration. The final three performance slots will be reserved for these schools. (Please note, not necessarily in order of placement.)
3. All remaining entries will be placed in order based on Date of registration.
*All registrations are stamped for Date/Time and we will hold these spots for 60 days for processing of payment.
* Entries will be limited to 18 Ensembles for the Saturday Competition.
As always ANY ensemble is eligible for the finals competition.
