7th hour Basic World History & Geography

The history and geography of the world is colorful and exciting.  Semester one will begin with the Stone Age and conclude with the American, French, and Latin American Revolutions. Interspersed will be lessons on the geography of the world in terms of

            Natural Resources (location)

            People’s Custom’s (Place)

            Environmental Conditions (Human/Environmental Interaction)

            Means of Transportation (Movement)

            Nearest Neighbors (Region)

Semester one will  look at The Middle East, India, China, Mediterranean Europe, Western Europe and Latin America, with plenty of surprises along the way!

In this class, we will be incorporating technology by utilizing Microsoft Word 2007 word processing software as well as the internet, and the Smart Board.

Placement in this course requires approval from an Educational Case Manager in conjunction with a student’s IEP. (Individual Education Plan)
