Linda Lebakken
Mrs. Lebakken graduated from Viterbo University in 1995 with a BA in Music Education.   She studied violin and conducting with Mr. Mark Taylor; she also studied violin with Ms. Nancy Oliveros of Artaria String Quartet.  Mrs. Lebakken currently performs with the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra and recently conducted the Symphony at this year's Concerts for Youth.  She has also performed with the Winona Symphony Orchestra, Rochester Symphony Orchestra, Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra and has played for groups such as Mannheim Steamroller, Moody Blues, Ann Murray, Vince Gill.

The Orchestra's Beginning
The Onalaska Orchestra began in the fall of 1995 with over 70 fourth graders.  In the fall of 2000 those beginning students moved on to the high school, creating the first  Onalaska High School Orchestra; this orchestra began with 10 violins, 1 viola, 2 celli and 1 bass.  Today the High School enrolls approximately 20-34 high school string students.
