My name is Gene Power and I'm in my third year as Director of Bands at North High School.  Before coming to NHS I taught in Minnesota, Fall Creek, Osseo-Fairchild, and for one year at Memorial High School.  In addition to teaching band I also am the Music Director for the Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony, the Assistant Conductor for the Chippewa Valley Symphony, and I also direct pit orchestras for the CVTG and ECCT.  I also maintain an active performing schedule with area ensembles and occasionally freelance as a musician regionally in Western Wisconsin and the Twin Cities.  I've studied conducting with Nobuyoshi Yasuda, Kenneth Kiesler, William Jones, and Michael Tilson Thomas.
